The Template System: Text & Placeholders

DolmiDesk™ isn't a "black box." The numbers come from the Abrechnungsmodell (billing model) – the words come from you.
For this, there are two kinds of templates:
- Invoice templates determine what appears on the document: the opening text, what each line item is called and how it's described, the closing text – and your own texts for cancellations, corrections, and the three reminder levels.
- Email templates determine the subject and text of the email that sends out the invoice.
Both work with the same tool: placeholders.
The Principle
You write the fixed text, and wherever a specific value should appear later, you insert a placeholder. When the document is created, every placeholder is replaced with the real value.
Where the Templates Apply
You don't choose the templates per invoice, but once per Kostenträger (cost bearer): that's where the invoice template, the email template, and optionally a dedicated template for reminders are attached.
This way, every court gets the wording it expects, and every health insurer gets its own – without you having to think about it while billing.
The Topics
- The Placeholder System: How placeholders work, how you insert them, and which ones are available.
- Invoice Templates: The template editor – document texts, line item labels, variants for cancellations, corrections, and reminders, and the preview.
- Email Templates: Subject and text for sending invoices and reminders.
