It starts in the calendar and doesn't end until an hour later with the email. Every arrow is manual copying, retyping, or looking something up – and the dashed arcs below are the loops that keep dragging you back.

  Apps involved

  1. Calendar: provides address, date, time, and contact person.
  2. Google Maps: provides distance and travel time.
  3. Excel spreadsheet: serves as the assignment log.
  4. Invoice template: is used to create the invoice.
  5. Folder / Google Drive: stores PDFs and scans.
  6. Email: is used for sending and communication.

  Step 1: Data collection
  Copy the address from the calendar into Maps, work out the distance & travel time, and enter it in Excel – along with the date and time.

  Step 2: Calculating & writing
  Calculate travel costs in Excel, then manually transfer all the data into the invoice template – opening Maps again if needed.

  Step 3: Document management
  Save the invoice as a PDF in Drive – this creates a search loop, since assignment confirmations are hard to find.

  Step 4: Sending
  Search for attachments in Drive, attach them to an email, look up the contact person again in the calendar, and search for templates in email.

  Step 5: Update in Excel
  After sending, manually enter the send status in Excel.

  Step 1: Enter appointment (you)
  You enter your appointment in Google Calendar as usual – address, date, time, contact person. That's it.

  Steps 2–5: Automation (DolmiDesk™)
